(Rief is the son of Mia and one of the eight party members in Dark Dawn. He alongside his sister Nowell study under Kraden. He joins relatively early on, after you finish Konpa Ruins.

Rief is not a very popular character, even by Dark Dawn standards. Due to how the game is structured, Amiti is the very next party member you receive, and hes also a Water Adept, so its likely many players hardly used Rief in battle.

Fun Fact: As is typical with localizing a games script, Golden Suns characters often did not have the same name from language to language. Rief might just be the most egregious example of this, having five different names across the six languages Dark Dawn was released in.)
