Yeah, it's not quite like the grocery store I work at where we used to be open 24/7 (except on Christmas day), but started shutting down between Midnight and 6am during Covid. We're supposed to be open 5am to Midnight every day but Christmas, but the front end just hasn't has enough staff to be open past 10pm since after we stopped late night hours.

I will say, though. Since the late night hours stopped, we've had no more incidents of drug addicts passing out or nearly dying in the restrooms, of random people making out with the glass of our Deli or Orient food cases while said departments are closed, and I forget what else. That second point has been nice for me, because I'd sworn up and down we cleaned our hotcase thoroughly every night before leaving, but kept having to clean the glass again in the mornings before opening; then that stopped and my manager at the time was like "That's so weird!"
