I think that logic can be applicable to other instances. Striking at say, Tesla. The party striking isn't wrong go as far as to say they are the victims/good guys but investing the time and effort into striking, might not be all that productive for themselves.
Owners and such, they're not obliged to keep jobs alive...although that would kill their business, which I'm not sure is ever really a positive play for them.

We are of course at threat of seeing cinema and television hit rock bottom in quality, possibly creating a devastatingly awful (lack of) artistic influence on future generations going forward, but that might actually be the way society is going. We already see it with independent content. YT shorts are starting to get plagued by AI narration.
