The closer you get to a black hole, the slower you would appear to move to an outside observer. To them, you would never appear to cross the event horizon, even beyond the end of the universe; your speed would become infinitesimal as you approached..

From your perspective, however, the universe would appear to accelerate faster the closer you get, reaching infinite speed as you crossed the event horizon. However, you would perceive your time frame moving at a constant rate, no matter your distance.

Relativity is crazy.
