No one complains about it, because the art style makes everyone cute. Sure, I prefer the older art style, I think that's because I grew up with the Back to Nature / 64 versions so there's a bit of nostalgia bias there.

Yeah, that's false. I regularly cite Lucky Star as an example where the adults are lolis too due to the art style (and an actual plot point with the MC's mother), and you see people treat the whole show as pedobait, so yes, people absolutely do discount the character if the art style "looks pedo enough".

It works in reverse too, where people will sexualize the teenage schoolgirl because she has a model body, like TTGL's Yoko or My Dress Up Darling's Marin, despite both being 14-15.

And do you really want to use Harvest Moon as an example when I know for a fact that there are loli bachelorettes in other versions? Off-hand, I know Lumina in AWL was made available in updated versions, though she was aged up yet also barely changed in design. There's also Amber in RF4.

While I appreciate the Popuri shoutout (OG and first pink-haired waifu for me), it is weird that you make an exception for her when she's exactly the type of

loli thing is that they are child looking and act like children with a *wink* *wink* "actually they aren't children

She's not singled out as a loli because everyone else looks young, but she's absolutely treated like a child by everyone except (You) and Kai.
