I started with Color Of Magic. This. But honestly, Guard Guards is probably the better starting point. Not only is it the first book in the most iconic subfranchise, it also really feels like the moment that the series clicked for Terry. As an incidental anecdote, I had a really weird emotional moment over the weekend - my missus was asking for Christmas present ideas (she has anxiety and likes planning ahead) - my absolute first instinct was to suggest the book of unpublished Pratchett stories that is coming out. It was weirdly bittersweet, because the "new Discworld for Christmas" was such a standard part of my life that I was emotional at getting to request something new by Pratchett for Christmas when I never believed I would have that chance again, but also struck by the finality of it that this book coming out represents literally the last words we will ever read from the man.
