Ive already addressed this argument. Somebody slowing down until they pass the cop does not provide any lasting or meaningful benefit. Somebody facing repercussions that make them change their dangerous behavior or remove their ability to continue it does.

And more people than me have already addressed your counter-argument. The threat of punishment will not serve as a deterrent to dangerous behavior.

On top of that, I'll also add (and remind) how we know traffic stops and speed traps are targeted against the people least able to afford them and even less able to afford to show up in court and contest them.

It's never been about deterring bad behavior, or they wouldn't be hidden when they're doing this.
