I think there is a worry to be had that they'll skimp on chopper in the background of scenes due to overwhelming CGI costs and only put him in vital scenes, but I seriously doubt they would change him into a human

that being said the reported costs for season 1 are insane so it doesn't really appear that money is all too much of an object here

i think it's quite likely to get a 2nd season through the end of Alabasta though, but beyond that who knows
