gender-affirming care isnt just for trans people. most of it is hand-me-downs from cis people who don't feel like they conform to their assigned gender in the way they want to/used to

I definitely feel I came off as insensitive with my previously stated perspective, because these thoughts you've conveyed are very important. I think cis people are an easier target for comedy since they're in the privileged position, in the same way that it's easier to make fun of white people. Still, that should be balanced with respect and support for gender-affirming surgery for all folks.
