Folks, if you're in an airport and see some folks advertising "Clear", I'd suggest saying "no thank you" and walking on to the normal TSA check-in line.

I had time so I listened to the spiel and got my "trial" of the "service". Clear is a biometrics company and their service is basically to get you two things:
  1. The ability to go through a shorter check-in line up to the TSA Agent.
  2. The ability to use your biometrics to check-in... I think in lieu of a government issued ID? Although I'd imagine you'd still have to carry it with you?
You will still have to go through the TSA agent (with the Clear attendant waving you through) and still have to go through shoes-off henshin-pose get-felt-up security screening.

All for the low low price of $189 US a year.

Oh and also I should mention that after creating my account with my biometrics, I tried the check-in they offered, both biometrics (eyes and fingerprints) failed, and I had to input my full name and information so they could pull up my account. What a time saver!

One of the reasons I'm sitting here waiting for my flight with my laptop open was so I could immediately cancel my membership.

But anyway, what's up with y'all? I've got an hour to kill.
