It only takes a small amount of sweetener to cover coffee's bitterness. Like for instance a regular iced coffee at Starbucks has 20g of sugar and even that tastes very sweet. I usually get it without sweetener but you could easily get away with less than 10g of sugar to take the edge off the bitterness.
