Changing the color of someone isn't innately racist. As a white dude, I prefer Latina girls. Can see myself making a tan girl toon. Not the same, but similar.

In our zeitgeist, we have bigotry against such people front and center. I wouldn't host you either, even if you didn't mean bad. Not my fault you couldn't read the tone of the room. About pronouns I mean, I for one would worry about their safety and health more than your preferences. Host it somewhere else.
