| LightningStrikes 09/21/23 6:58:03 PM #163: | The thing about Krieg is, his actual narrative purpose is exactly what he has in the show: get wrecked by Mihawk, highlight the dangers of the grand line and provide a pirate for Sanji to feed, which all happens. Beyond that he is basically just a roadblock before Arlong Park with a dull fight that goes on for too long and brings the arc down. Opinions will of course vary but I think the Krieg fight is a big patience tester for people getting into One Piece for the first time.
