Not only is there no definite beginning or end, but the starting point actually varies between the Bandcamp, SoundCloud, and YouTube releases... but I can tell your timestamps apply to the YouTube synclisten video. Concepts like retreading ground, running out of ideas, or even earlier and later parts are funny for this release, but they're still a fitting way to frame your listening experience. A little behind the scenes info: each of the tracks was made using only the knowledge of the first 10 seconds of the track that would follow it. This means things being repetitive/cohesive throughout was more or less by chance. There are some exceptions: for instance, calculations samples that first 10 second segment of Percolation Station pretty heavily. It's a bit ironic that by the time the real thing came around for you, it had outstayed its welcome! Maybe your ideal listening experience would start at Percolation Station and finish with calculations, so that part becomes a 30-minute delayed callback instead...? ... Copied to Clipboard! |
