Deep Forest 2. Hunting 3. White Whisper https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FR4jA37dmwE God this nomination is tickling my fancies. My fancies are quite tickled. This New Agey house/world music style has long been a source of enjoyment for me. I enjoy everything about Deep Forest, the first song on Deep Forest, by Deep Forest the beat, the gravelly child singing, the panning around the other vocals, the synths that just take off like nobodys businesseverything about this is super me. We are off to a great start! Song 3, Hunting, is also really solid. Lots of great sounds: something that sounds like a bird call, tribal percussion, vocals of various pitches and effects. This song is ear candy to my brains mouth. Songs 1 and 3 have been faster paced and songs 2 and 4 have been slower, and Ive definitely enjoyed the faster paced ones by, like, a lot. I havent disliked songs 2 and 4; Im just that much more into 1 and 3. By song 6, Savana Dance, Ive unfortunately soured a little on the music. Its not bad, but nothing has really grabbed me like Deep Forest (the song from the album by the band). I would love some more faster-tempo, twirling through the sky house, but Im not sure if Im going to get that. White Whisper: hEY-ey-EY-ey-EY-ey-EY-ey-EY-ey-EY-yeah to you too, buddy. This ones cool. I think Im just a sucker for chopped up vocal samples like this. This song sounds like something out of Sonic CD (JP). Really this whole album sounds like something out of Sonic CD (JP). So yeah, this is an album that had one absolutely killer song, some other things I liked, and a lot of neutral. Nothing I disliked, which means this automatically goes above a lot of the competition, but still, it was such a disappointment that Deep Forest (the album by the band) never comes close to the highs of Deep Forest (the song from the album by the band).
