It's fair to say there's value in having the "opposing side" coming on to your show, as long as you put them in their place, the problem here is that Maher has blurred the lines as to whether or not this is actually an "opposing side" for him anymore since they complain about the same irrelevant things that aren't actually harming society. Yeah, there's 'having them on your platform' and 'giving them a platform'. Maher and others seem to think that some people can't see the difference between the two. A lot of asshats eat it up though.
