It's up there with NiGHTs into Dreams as one of those games I wish I had gotten to play when it was new the most information I've retained about it is The protagonist gets a legit threesome ending. usually with RPGs there's always a bit of a triangle arc when it comes to that thing but apparently the story was done well enough that it being resolved that way was less taking the cowards way out and more "yeah, that seems on brand for them". On one hand, I'd love a modern remake that addresses the issues you guys are talking about like every encounter being reduced to the same tactics, the annoying encounter rate to begin with, this was way before on screen encounters became more common place, god damn was playing Digimon World 3 a painful horrific experience because of it, I don't think I ever beat that game, my dumbass got soft locked because I was using a gameshark and fought the Knightmon in the Asuka server without knowing it was an unwinnable battle and since my cheat was never losing HP I was trapped there for 3 days before I gave up and put the game away forever.
