One of my fav recent games and def my fav of the retro inspired JRPGs. The natural pacing is really good but I would still be careful not to linger too much and uncover every stone. The game feels way better with forward momentum, and there's plenty of time to explore.

If you played any SNES JRPGs, this game has homages to basically all of them. In the actual game design, not just narrative. Totally ingenious.

Back half is fine, could be better. It's the correct amount of JRPG you'd want.
