the digivice is a game, it's a tamagatchi but with digimon the watch is technically a pedometer tamagatchi but with digimon, where your activity directly influences the digimons stats and evolutions. why the watch part was never just turned into a smartwatch app, who the fuck knows. they do sell these things for hella dollars, and they're fairly popular in japan so it's likely just greed on that end --- if i wasn't important then why would you waste all your poison ...
