The instrumental work in Mean Spirits immediately catches my ears. I'm a little disappointed that the vocalist doesn't have a voice I instantly love. Kind of... softer? than what I expected. I'm digging it as I go on. Think his voice is better when there's more intensity behind it. Good stuff, I'll be giving this more listens for sure. It Hasn't Happened yet is so bizarre. I didn't expect Captain fucking Kirk to talk into my ears for like three and a half minutes straight when you first made your nomination topic. I don't know how to feel about this. Shatner??? Are you okay my guy?? This certainly was an experience! Going from having my ears tickled to whatever the hell TRASHFIRE VISCERAL is. I remembered to adjust my volume before listening, so my views so far are positive. I wish it had more of a melody going for it, but this noise is actually kind of nice to zone out to.
