Because the law-abiding don't have guns there, but the shooters do. That is not why those places get targeted. Don't spread NRA lies like this. For example, mass shootings in schools are not because schools are gun free zones, but because the shooter has some kind of connection to the school. Workplace mass shootings? The same.
