You are also unaware of how this doesn't actually really combat the deepfake problem. The real problem with deepfakes is the initial viewing. The people who don't bother to find out if what they saw was real or not. You do realize if this technology were to become foolproof and efficient, it would be up to legislators to start criminalizing acts of posting deepfakes? Doesn't even have to be criminalized. Civil damages will be incurred towards anyone violating another party through the method of deepfaking.
