As long as YouTube has it in their ToS that they're not responsible if their ads downloads harmful shit to your computer, blocking their ads will forever be the ethical choice.

Too many companies think they don't have to practice responsibility with their advertising. You can get suspended for posting something PG-13 here but GameFaqs has shown people ads for escort sites. I've personally seen advertisements for beer, guns, and a gacha game that may or may not have been pornographic.

That's not even counting the redirects and God knows what else Fandom wants you to see.

But if you complain, you'll get the same excuse.

"Oh, we don't control the ads. We don't know what they're advertising."

Had enough control to place it on your site. You knew enough that you wanted us to look at it.

We've tolerated their bullshit for far too long.
