This happens every time theres a black character in a game, and people think they are being so slick with their comments, although some go the obvious route and complain about "wokeness" lol.

Yep, it was said in another thread that those who hate diversity yet can't figure out a way to express that without sounding like a bigot now refer to it as "woke".

It's a big reason I don't take any complaints about "wokeness" seriously, because unless you're talking about the actual usage of in regards to being socially aware of where you are and how the political climate affects you (to be most accurate, black people warning other black people to be careful in dangerous areas such as the South), all that ire is derived from right-wingers just figuring out their "get out of being called a bigot while being a bigot-free card" and successfully propagating it through society at large thanks to mainstream media and people mindlessly spreading it.

I actually find it to be one of the most insulting things imaginable that these right-wing racists appropriated the term from the black community to basically express "quit putting black people into positions where I have to see them".

Fucking scumbags.

Lol. Given that this poster is no longer an active user and without clicking on their thread, I'm guessing they wanted Morale's codename to be "Blackie Chan"

Yeah, curiously the only people who seem to think that way are those who refuse to accept Miles Morales as a "legitimate" Spider-Man for "reasons".
