I hated most of the bosses in DS2. Over abundance of guys in armor with swords.

The entire game is basically if a team didn't know how to recreate Dark Souls 1 properly and just took all the wrong lessons from it. Poor difficulty balance (so many ambushes, what fun!), poor bosses.

Game was huge, though. And very non linear.

Yeah the design ideas weren't the best but I thought the majority of them were fun.
I'll agree some of the "difficulty" is cheap and really annoying. A lot of runbacks are like this.
Yeah I got a ton of playtime with it tho.

The DLC bosses aside, DS2 has some of the worst mechanically designed bosses I've ever seen in a video game and I have no clue how, issue and all, you can say the ER bosses are worse. I'd prefer getting bullshitted by Melania or Margit for 20 hours rather than fight the slew of DS2 bosses who are more likely to hurt themselves in their confusion than actually hit me. Hell the final boss is almost as pathetic as the lone dragonrider.

Do you have an example? Honestly, I played this game like I play every souls game, that being in halves, so maybe I just don't remember the bad bosses too much.

The health decreasing I think was also in Demons Souls. Its a non-issue in DS2 anyway unless you use the consumable that reverts it every time you die. I would only pop one when my health got noticeably lower or there was a boss or tough challenge I wanted full health for. Even on my first playthrough I ended the game with tons of extra humanity consumables. How agility works is dumb but is far from the only dumb stat mechanic in the series.

Why is it a non issue exactly? I farmed humanities but I guess I'm just not super good because I felt like I needed to use them sparingly. I really really wish vendrick's blessing worked in ng+.
