| Ozmose 10/27/23 2:29:41 PM #35: | Do you really think people are just going to ignore the economy when they go to the polls? We have the worst inflation in 50 years, and it's not going anywhere. They can try to tout lower inflation numbers all they want, it's not going to help. People want to see deflation. They need to see prices come down. They keep cooking the books to make the numbers look better, but it's only making things worse for the average person. I just saw an article the other day swooning over how the GDP is through the roof. Yeah, that's going to happen when Janet prints 600 billion dollars in one month.
What they don't understand is that your average household could care less about any of those numbers. The ones they care about are the ones they see on their grocery receipt and on the gas pump, and when the prices keep going up, they're going to blame whoever is in charge. You can take all the social issues and throw them right in the trash. At the end of the day people's #1 issue is providing for their family. --- Most people are other people.
