The BLM/George Floyd protests were demonstrably and overwhelmingly peaceful. But (right wing) media coverage was laser-focused on protests that turned violent and denounced them all, even when it was proven that most violence was instigated by counter-protests and law enforcement. Recently I've seen some international protests covered in the same way, especially against pro-Palestine protestors. Perhaps I'm being finagled by the algorithms but a lot of this coverage seems similar to the right-wing coverage of BLM protests. Quick to call it terrorism, violent, etc. Especially in countries with pro-Israel foreign policies like the US/UK. --- Rainbow Dashing: "it's just star wars" AutumnEspirit: *kissu* ...
