I think a lot of people are overreacting. It's pretty much a meme and has a lot of funny components (like the pics of dudes floating in the air with DBZ ki aura with the caption "day 20" or something).

Plus if someone doesn't like that they don't feel they can go a couple days without deeding, it doesn't seem like such a bad thing to try and abstain for a month. Or for some people, denying pleasure just makes it more fun in the long run.

The evidence of masturbation reducing the risk of prostate cancer is inconclusive. One large study found up to a 20% lowered rate in people who ejaculated more often, but all it establishes is a correlation, and other studies have actually disputed those results. I feel like some on the internet latched onto the study to practically shame people who might want to goon less, which is a weird way to go about.

It only seems like a problem when co-opted by the Andrew Tate incel crowd.
