Not necessarily trying to be prepared, but trying to get as much side content as I could done before beating it. The problem is that a lot of the side content dragged a bit and I lost interest and stopped playing the game, often mere minutes before the final boss. At one point, I had 14 such games when I forced myself to finish them off before playing anything else. I've been better about it since then. --- This is my signature.
