adjl 11/12/23 9:51:11 PM #2:	Contactless IR thermometers have been a thing for a while, but they really took off during the height of Covid, where they were used as a quick, safe way to screen for potentially infectious people. I can't say I've been tracking the prices, but I expect that massive spike in demand caused production to be ramped up to the point that they're now pretty cheap. --- This is my signature.
