They'll throw some obviously racist candidates, some (not so) subtly racist candidates, some wackos, and some completely shitty "moderates" at the wall and see what sticks. Unfortunately, it looks like Trump-ish racism is here to stay in some forms, especially surrounding local levels. Regional politicians will vary as they always have.
