captpackrat 11/14/23 6:12:56 AM #14: | Cranberry sauce is super easy to make and it tastes SO MUCH BETTER than the stuff from cans.
Combine 1/3 cup water, 2/3 cup orange juice, 2/3 cup sugar, and 1/3 cup brown sugar (tightly packed) into a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Add a 12 oz package of cranberries and reduce heat to a simmer. The cranberries will start to pop, which is lots of fun. Stir occasionally, and continue to cook until all the berries have exploded, about 10-15 minutes. The longer you cook it, the thicker the sauce will be, but it will also thicken after it cools. Remove from heat and allow to cool for at least 20-30 minutes before refrigerating.
