Probably because movies are more expensive now, the days of people seeing any old superhero B-lister are over. People are only gonna spend money on characters they know, so we might be back to only Batman/Spider-man/Superman etc. movies. Oh well, at least thanks to the MCU, the pool of superheroes the mainstream knows about have been expanded. They can do B-listers, but they need to learn how to work with smaller budgets and get more creative and resourceful with their filmmaking approach. Something like Blade doesn't need to be a $250 million movie, and I wouldn't even call him a B-lister. Fox did A LOT of things wrong when it came to the X-Men movies, but I'll give them props for at least attempting the psychological horror angle with New Mutants. They didn't have to film expensive action set pieces so they could keep the budget low --- I have nothing else to say ... Copied to Clipboard! |
