Anakin Skywalker was right, spinning really is a good trick, for Sindel at least. Her opponent would probably beg to differ. Wrapping the whole body in hair might not ensure the fastest possible spin, but its probably necessary to cause more friction, which is likely the fatal factor here.

Shang Tsungs powers have grown since the last game, as in MK2 he needed physical contact to steal his opponents soul. Not this time now he can levitate them with his magic and steal their soul that way. The body liquefying once hes finished is a bonus.

Weve seen this fatality a couple of times by now, but Deadly Alliance puts its own spin on it by not having the inflation take place immediately. Its as if the opponent is trying in vain to resist its effects, which you dont see too often. Coughing up blood before the final inflation, suggesting internal damage, is also pretty nasty for this game.

The purple flashes on Jaxs hands as he charges up add a bit more visual flair to this old favourite. He could do this normally, but now he really wants you to have it!

Sonyas classic fatality is recreated on modern systems. The fire burning the opponent to their bones is powerful, but it works a little too quick to be really painful looking. This isnt helped by the skeleton kneeling instead of falling down or breaking apart like it usually does for fatalities.
