-I find what looks like a pain chart and a guy with a knife in his chest who is apparently still alive. Id say hes at a ten.
-He has a note in his hand that basically says he found me in the ruins and Im not awake yet. Cool.
-I find a bowl in his belongings. Ill take this with me, thanks, dying guy.
-Next room has a giantperson? Statue? Guess Ill find out soon.
-I can put the bowl down in front of the statue and stairs open up, but thats it. Theres the explorers notebook nearby which gives more clues. He fell down here at some point and has been trying to get out. The statue can open the door but it needs to be filled with some sort of offering (sounds like water but probably blood). Theres an incantation on the back page which Ill be chanting soon, Im sure.
-Stairs lead to a small screen, but thick vines block the way. Time to go get that knife sticking out of the explorer, I think.
-I figured out the water of life hint like five minutes too early apparently. I need to wander around for a while first, investigate a second notebook, try the offering again, and the figure out it is blood and use the knife on myself.
-And I come out of the CT scanner! As some sort of blobby monstrosity. Oops.
-I dont fit through the door anymore so I straight up hulk my way out. This is giving me low budget Inside vibes spoiler tag there in case you havent played the game before but if you have youll know what Im talking about already.
-Well I go to some sort of weird ethereal opening a couple of hallways down, go through a weird hole in the wall, and findme! But like non nightmare me.
-I switch perspectives now, and Im normal me with a knife looking at nightmare me. I could stab myself, but I choose not to. I leave andthats it!
-Ending sequence shows the hospital, shows a bunch of medication bottles, and me hooked up to some sort of IV/treatment.
-Oh, I have an option to repaly the ending. Nice! Thanks game. I wasnt going to replay this whole thing so Im glad I can skip to the important bit.
-Oh uh. Actually nevermind I guess? My choice is locked in and I dont get the option of killing the thing or not this time. Lame. I dont know if this is a glitch or the option to kill it was never really a real option. Do I want to replay for an hour to find out. Hmmmmnah.
-Ill call this one here. I might be skipping an ending but blame it on the glitch and the fact Im not interested in playing through twice. More thoughts to follow.
-This is a pretty blah adventure game. Doesn't get the horror right. Doesn't get the adventure game right.
-I mean...it isn't the worst game I've played on the Playdate! It's got that going for it.

Beaten? Yes
Grade: The curse of the 3 strikes Playdate again. Not a terrible game. The writing is okayish at times. I liked the setups to some of the vignettes here. But it has big indie adventure game vibes, and not the good kind of indie adventure game either.
Favorite Part So Far: The fake meme about the wizard pussy hitting too good made me giggle, so that wins.
