The MK1 version recreates it with more advanced graphics and an extra flourish or two, like the flash from Kanos cyborg eye as he approaches, but isnt too different otherwise. Kotals version is the real evolution here. Instead of immediately Kali Ma-ing like Kano, he has more of a ritual sacrifice flavour, using a knife to carve the opponents torso open first, then squeezing the heart over himself to absorb the blood.
