Kung Lao throwing his hat, catching it on the return, then throwing it again, targeting different body parts each time, makes this feel like several smaller fatalities combined into one. Thats no bad thing in this case, as the damage is spread across the opponents body, without any of it feeling superfluous.

Deadly Alliance is one of only two games where each character only gets one fatality, and since Sub Zero got a variant on his classic Spine Rip, his apprentice Frost gets her own take on fatal freezing. Im not quite sure how only the top half comes off from the kick, but I like that the kick is more of a Sparta punt, and especially that the frozen flesh can be seen on top of the remaining ice sculpture.

This is similar to Mileenas MKX fatality, but where that one had her take the head off quickly and chow down on it, this one puts a lot more emphasis on the initial head twisting, making it look really painful. Maybe Mileena could have taken a nibble or two on the head throwing it down, but that may have been too reminiscent of the original version.

Technically, this is a Didnt Die Tho fatality, but realistically, the shock and blood loss would be fatal without immediate medical attention. The scream combined with blood continuing to spurt from the severed stumps sell the impact of this fatality. The MK4 version makes some changes which improve it further, like Jax throwing the arms down in disgust after removing them. However, the camera movement means you dont always get a good look at it on some stages.
