Orcas DE Chase Winovich (76th overall) - Incumbent Preston Rogers is about to play his age-35 season, but the peculiar thing with him is that as he as aged, his pass-rushing has improved considerably (three double digit sack seasons in 30s) while his run-defense has cratered (37 tackles the past two seasons). If I were in charge of the Orcas, I might let Rogers walk when his contract runs out after the season. That would give someone like Winovich a shot who profiles as a good pass rusher and above-average run defender. Rams SS Jaylinn Hawkins (88th overall) - First it was the Broncos, then it was the Dolphins, and now it appears that the Rams could be the current SS factory. Mentioning my mock again, Incumbent SS Scott Morris is down to his final season or two. That will give Hawkins time to thrive as a backup like Skip McGrath and R.J. Schwartz before him until he takes over for the 3-time Pro Bowler.
