60. Limb Rip (Goro, MKD)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfjmYhhT21Y
I owe Kintaro an apology. I ranked his Quad Rip at number 93, despite it being better than this very similar fatality in several ways. Sure, Kintaro struggles more to do the rip, which reflects better on Goro, and Goro celebrates afterwards, which is another point in his favour. Is that really enough to rank 33 places higher at this stage? I dont know. You know what? Pretend Im swapping them around.

59. Fore! (Shao Kahn, MKD)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8hBl82HTHI
Make Outworld Great Again wasnt Shao Kahns first Donald Trump reference, as hes also a keen golfer. Hes got a strong swing, and a powerful technique for planting the tee firmly in place. Unfortunately, this fatality doesnt give us an example of his putting game, but he has no problems with his drives!

58. Bug Me (Dvorah, MKX)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPt2hkA1uXY
Drahmin must be jealous of the control Dvorah has over her flies. She can steer them around, blow holes through her opponents torso, and even devour her opponents flesh, leaving only bone behind. Dvorah crushing the discarded skull underfoot is a good way to bring her back into focus at the end, while emphasising that this fatality is a team effort.

57. Maintaining Balance (Cetrion, MK11)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnukHk5fDHY
Cetrion has mastered three of the four elements. Just air left and she will have achieved the Avatar State! Using different elements lets her combine fatalities from separate characters that wouldnt mix normally. Youll never catch Rain using fire, or Scorpion using water for instance, so this gives us something we wouldnt see otherwise. The opponent being cut in three from the earth claws at the end looks extra painful as you can see the burns from the fire around their body.

56. Atomic Heart (Havik, MK1)
55. Radius Incision (Havik, MK1)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VjtarGfFu8
As the token freak character of Deception, Havik had a bizarre, unorthodox moveset where his attacks often hurt him in the animations as much as his opponent. For his long-awaited return in Mortal Kombat 1, that concept is mixed with a healthy dose of body horror, as Haviks regeneration ability allows him to deal horrific damage without any concern for how much hes mutilating himself in the process. This remains true for his fatalities. Atomic Heart is the Mortal Kombat equivalent of a rejected organ transplant, as Havik swaps hearts with his opponent, then destroys theirs while his kills them via incompatibility. Radius Incision leaves the opponent more intact than most fatalities, and yet it still manages to be one of the most gruesome fatalities in the series for Havik breaking his own bones to stab the opponent with them. The shot of him slashing downwards in particular is the stuff of nightmares. Also the stuff of nightmares; looking up this video gave me plenty of videos of real radius incisions. Im squeamish when it comes to anything medical, get that out of here!
