Normal people would just take their business somewhere else.

These are not normal people. They want to force their lifestyle choices down the throats of any who oppose. They elect leaders who use their lifestyle choices as litmus tests for appointing those who interpret the law further cementing their stand. They cry bigot and attempt to intimidate those who disagree with them. They use their status as a weapon. They don't want you to just bake their cake. They want to make you like it.

really frightening that we have people like this on CE

*on Earth

It's more frightening that people think they can use the court rooms to make their rights trump the rights of others. Somehow I think you would be up in arms if the shoe were on the other foot. For example, I don't think a gay screen printing shop owner would print t-shirts against a gay rights parade. It would be unconscionable for them to do so. By the same token, it's unconscionable for a gay couple to ask a Christian baker to make them a wedding cake.

I take it the Christian baker would also not make cakes for Muslim/Hindu/Zoraster couples? Like as each couple comes in, they'd ask their denomination? And as some Christian churches/sects believe interracial marriage "violates God's law in the bible", you believe they shouldn't bake a cake for them?
