I've definitely had moments where I think the use of pure online socialization is dumb, but I've definitely needed that crutch myself. It's ironic that you're posting about this issue on an online forum, sort of like the "nerd" argument on GameFAQs, in other words, you having this message on this platform is ironic in itself and in some ways shows you need the crutch too. Ideally you'd only discuss this with your IRL friends but you too feel the need to have some sort of socialization behind a monitor to anons, the same thing you're condemning. The only thing I reject social media for is that it gives everyone some grandiose importance to themselves. People don't have to deal with other types of people because they never have to. I hardly ever feel the need to share much on social media. I just comment on other stuff as if it's another online forum or chatroom, but with people I actually recognize. --- itt my post is the best ... Copied to Clipboard! |
