Actually there have been male versions of "sexy barista" businesses, but they are few and far between because most guys who look that good can easily get better employment than passing out drinks. It's also significantly less practical for them to have such a low end job in a society where men are more often critiqued on their incomes. Being hot looking still doesn't exclude them from what most women expect in a man.

Hundreds of bikini babe women working as low income waitresses and baristas still snag high paid boyfriends and husbands. It's extremely rare for the opposite to happen, no matter how hot looking the guy is.


Not too long ago, we had a firemen-themed coffee hut locally and large young muscular firemen wearing tank tops would pleasantly serve drinks. The guys were acclaimed as being very attractive. It actually didn't stay open for long simply due to a lack of interest. It became a popular stop for lgbt guys, but only old women would occasionally go there for coffee. And the drinks were fine; they usually made them well. Not enough other women were interested.

Bottom line: it really wasn't the business model. It was just women in general not being as thirsty as men when it comes to who serves their drinks.
