I know that since I last played, breeding has become much more detailed and serious for competitive players, but for someone like me, does gender, nature, ability, or characteristic matter? Generally, no. However, some natures and abilities are better for in-game usage than other ones. The preferred natures for each Pokemon will depend on their base stats. Nature and abilities are extremely important in competitive play, though. Gender and characteristic don't matter for competitive play. The "characteristic" thing serves no purpose other than giving breeders a clue as to which stat has the highest IV. --- Luster Soldier --- ~Shield Bearer~ | ~Data Analyst~ Popular at school, but not as cool as BK_Sheikah00, Guru Champ! ...
