Some even tried to.... have children with Junko's dead body. I think I threw up a little in my mouth.
Anyway, Makoto suggested that putting them on the island was all an attempt to remove Ultimate Despair from them. He says that graduating, The Hope Restoration program will be completed, and they'll be uploaded into their real bodies. But the people who died.... if their avatar is deleted, there's nothing that can be done.
So there's two choices Graduating means their school memories will be gone forever. The people who are dead are SoL. The alternative is to stay on the island.
