so there's lots of zara's in nyc? i don't think there's a single zara by me. That's from the richest dude in the world right? Maybe that s*** is just huge in europe

Pretty much (at least here in Manhattan)...there's one in Midtown/Times Square, Downdown/Wall Street and another in SoHo (South of Houston, kinda like Midway btw Midtown and Downdown) and I've been to one in Jersey City.

$34 for a pair of basketball shorts on sale? Yeah, that's a little pricy. Last pair of basketball shorts I bought were on clearance for less than $10 =p Some of the other stuff isn't as bad, but I never see *those* prices at my local Macy's and I wouldn't order online because I like to try before I buy

Ok, you picked out one item, but they do have a actual suit set for sale for around $30-$40 bucks...that's practically Goodwill/Salvation Army prices.

And yea, some of the sporting goods stuff at Macy's are expensive there for some reason. I usually go to Marshalls/TJ/BCF for cheap sporting goods stuff (shorts, gym bags, sometime sneakers, etc).

But for fashionable sweaters, jeans, button down shirts and coats, you can usually find a good deal at Macy's, again, esp. during Holiday sales. I've gotten plenty of high end name brand stuff (Calvin Klein, Guess?, Lucky Brand, etc) for good deals when I really hunt the clearance/sales racks. It's really about being a smart shopper.
