Topic | Serious question for leftists: can you define ''fascism''? |
Mal_Fet 09/25/17 1:17:51 PM #121: | scar the 1 posted... You seem to bocce under the impression that the only way to determine if someone is fascist is through the policy they manage to push through. How about his intended policies? You've been listing them up until now, but all of a sudden your excuse is that there's no examples of him being fascist because he hasn't been able to do anything fascist yet? Let's review: Walls are not fascist. Protecting your country's border is something all countries do. The Berlin wall was constructed by the socialist German democratic republic of East germany, whom you yourself claim are inherently opposed to fascism. So which is it? Lower taxes and deregulation are not fascist. Fascism quite definitively involves greater control over industry and commerce. Travel bans are not fascist, unless you're willibg to call Obama a fascist since he did the same damn thing in 2013. Seems like all you have left as far as examples of Trump being a fascist is aesthetically similar rhetoric. Which, again, applies equally well to Obama. Now this is probably the part where you claim to have all these experts on your side that prove me wrong, yet you refuse to cite any of their work, making your claim utterly meaningless. So go ahead, appeal to authority again. --- Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear. -George Orwell ... Copied to Clipboard! |
