lol, that woman's an idiot

I work at a dealership - we're not that bad, but there are times I feel slimy. I hate selling flushes or cleanings, they're generally unnecessary unless called for by Ford themselves or the fluids are contaminated/breaking down. When the technician comes back with his recommendations (keep in mind he gets paid extra for these services too), I tend not to push them like I would a genuine concern.

As for the bit about safety recalls, it's considered a mortal sin to not bring them up at time of check in. The driver's side Takata airbag recall takes about an hour max in Ford vehicles, so there's no reason not to knock it out unless the customer is in a huge rush. The problem comes when the manufacturer issues an advance notice - they're required by law the moment the recall is official, yet they're often mailed months in advance. I can't count how many people I've had to turn down for passenger airbags simply because we don't have them yet :/
