Welcome to the 2017 Horror Icons tournament, Every few years I try to do this in October because I've spent my life loving horror and well, what better time to do these during the Halloween season.

Rules:

1. You can vote in as many of the daily matches as you want.
2. Matches will last 24 hours and will usually start around midnight EST. I may start a day earlier if work interferes with my sleep, but matches will still last 24 hours.
3. Ties will be broken the the next day with a bonus tiebreaker match. If the match is still a tie after the first tiebreaker, we will do a third match which I will abstain from and only vote if the results end in a third tie.

Our fourth day kicks with a Batman villain who knows all about fear. Can Johnathan Crane withstand the mighty swing of the mysterious Lil' Slugger or will the rollerblading enigma hit a home run. HP Lovecraft's greatest creation battles the man who made ravens and floorboards scary. Cthulhu made it all the way to the final four in 2012, but ran into Buffalo Bill in 2014, this year he'll have to beat Poe, or become nevermore. Our third match today has one horror's first heroines taking on an icon of the 1800s. Laurie resourcefulness is going to be on point if she doesn't want to to lose her head. The Horseman it to the elite 8 in 14' and now, he's looking for more heads to swap. The final match of the night and the division brings two horrific video game characters to battle. Will the indestructible Pyramid Head finally make it past the sweet 16, or will the vain witch stop him before he even starts hacking away.
