Almost all TVs have a refresh rate of 60hz. Outside of gaming and home videos, almost everything on TV is limited to 24 frames per second (which is far too low for nearly anything, but only kept in due to old technology keeping a low framerate).

A monitor can go from 60, 120, or 144hz. Especially if you are using a very high-end gaming PC, uncapped the framerate on everything, and enjoying the smoothest gaming experience possible. Unfortunately, my laptop is capped at 60hz, but the next one I will get will be at least a 120.

idk what that means. I have a gtx 1070, can that do those refresh rates? Like, does refresh rate need to match the fps for it to even do anything? So if I'm capping at 60 fps, then 60 hz is good? Or ?
