Welcome to the 2017 Horror Icons tournament, Every few years I try to do this in October because I've spent my life loving horror and well, what better time to do these during the Halloween season.

Rules:

1. You can vote in as many of the daily matches as you want.
2. Matches will last 24 hours and will usually start around midnight EST. I may start a day earlier if work interferes with my sleep, but matches will still last 24 hours.
3. Ties will be broken the the next day with a bonus tiebreaker match. If the match is still a tie after the first tiebreaker, we will do a third match which I will abstain from and only vote if the results end in a third tie.

Day five is upon us, and you never may want to sleep again. Kicking off the division is the only character to ever make it to the finals besides Dracula. Can Freddy cook up another streak of nightmares, or will the possessed Mask from a number of RL Stine books pull through. Our second match finds the the protector of Little Sisters battling the Ghost with the Most. This is surprisingly Beetlejuices debut in the contest and it won't be an easy first match. Big Daddy appeared in the 2014 cntest, but exited early to Capt. Splauding. I feel both of them have something to prove this year. Up next, two more video game characters make thier debuts. Claire has handled zombies, demons, and everything else, but will a sassy flower be her undoing? Last up two more characters make their first entry into the contest. King Rames may scare Courage and other people around the town of Nowhere, but Death lurks around every corner and sometimes likes to take his victims in the most extreme way possible. And our second tiebreaker of the year wraps up the day as the demon and the dummy go at it once more.
